OVERVIEW
The cure for deafness has never sounded so clear. Sound On is an awareness-campaign sponsored by The Bolesta Center, a listening and spoken-word center in Tampa. We had the privilege of sharing the creative load with some talented local designers, photographers and developers from AD 2 Tampa Bay.
CHALLENGE
The Bolesta Center offers some incredible programs and offerings to children who are hard of hearing all over the country. Naturally, they wanted to spread the word of their center through an awareness campaign targeted at new or expecting parents. The key is early detection so our creative task was to leverage various mediums of advertising to put Bolesta on the map and ultimately help cure the silence for children who can’t hear.
SOLUTION
SoundOn.org is the touch point for this campaign’s message. Visitors can quickly become advocates by visiting the website and signing the pledge to spread the word. We also created a 30-second TV Spot and coordinating radio spots in multiple languages to accommodate Tampa’s diverse population. We utilized traditional media in the form of out-door ads in several high-traffic locations around the Tampa-St. Petersburg area. All together, we put 10 billboards in the Greater Tampa area. A magazine ad we created appeared in an issue of Tampa Bay Parenting which reached our target demographic effectively. The campaign went far beyond our efforts and with the help of diligent Public Service Coordinators, Sound On was a huge success in terms of reach and measurable results.
